When a company relocates or dissolves, professional office clearance becomes necessary. In this case study, we show you how we completely cleared a 300m² office space in Neu-Isenburg within a very short time – efficiently, GDPR-compliant, and with an impressive recycling rate.

Project Background

A medium-sized IT company from Neu-Isenburg had vacated its office premises in the commercial district and relocated its headquarters to downtown Frankfurt. The previous premises with approximately 300m² of space had to be completely cleared and handed over broom-clean within a few weeks.

The challenge: The company was still in operation, time was tight, and the scope was considerable. They needed a partner who could work quickly, reliably, and professionally – without unnecessarily disrupting business operations.

Scope of Clearance

The office space included:

  • 20 fully equipped workstations with desks, office chairs, mobile pedestals, and shelving units
  • A large conference room with meeting table, 12 chairs, presentation technology, and whiteboards
  • Shared kitchen with fitted kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, and dishes
  • Storage rooms with archive shelving, file folders, and consumables
  • IT infrastructure including servers, monitors, printers, cables, and network components

A total of approximately 18 tons of material was removed from the premises.

Removed Items in Detail

Office Furniture

  • 20 height-adjustable desks
  • 25 ergonomic office chairs
  • 15 mobile pedestals and sideboards
  • 8 shelving systems and file cabinets
  • 1 conference table with chairs
  • Various lounge furniture from the reception area

IT and Electronic Devices

  • 2 server racks with network equipment
  • 35 computer monitors (various sizes)
  • 12 desktop PCs
  • 8 multifunction printers
  • Countless cables, keyboards, mice
  • Phones and telephone system

Kitchen Equipment

  • Complete fitted kitchen (3 meters)
  • Fridge-freezer combination
  • Dishwasher
  • Microwave and coffee machines
  • Dishes, cutlery, and kitchen utensils

Archive and Storage Goods

  • Approximately 200 file folders
  • Stacks of documents and records
  • Office supplies and consumables
  • Packaging materials

GDPR-Compliant Document Disposal

A particularly sensitive area in company dissolutions is the destruction of confidential documents. Personal data, customer data, contracts, and business records must be securely destroyed according to GDPR requirements.

We collected all documents in sealed containers and had them shredded by a certified disposal partner in the Rhine-Main area according to DIN 66399 (Protection Class 3). The customer received complete destruction certification – legally secured and audit-proof documentation.

Handling Electronic Devices

Special requirements apply to IT equipment:

Data Security

All hard drives and data carriers were either deleted by the customer themselves before disposal or professionally destroyed by our partner service. This ensures that no sensitive company data falls into the wrong hands.

Proper E-Waste Disposal

Electronic devices do not belong in household waste. We disposed of all IT equipment through certified recycling centers in the Frankfurt and Offenbach area. Valuable raw materials such as copper, gold, and rare earths are thus recovered and hazardous substances properly treated.

Impressive Recycling Rate

Sustainability was important to the customer – and to us as well. The result is impressive:

85% recycling rate for electronics and furniture

  • Well-preserved office furniture was donated to charitable organizations
  • Metal parts, plastics, and electronic components were separated by type
  • Wooden furniture went into material recovery
  • Only 15% actually had to be sent to thermal recovery

This rate is significantly above the industry average and shows that commercial clearances can be carried out not only quickly but also sustainably.

Project Timeline

Phase 1: Site Visit and Quote (Day 1)

After the customer contacted us, we inspected the premises on-site in Neu-Isenburg. Together with the managing director, we went through all rooms, noted special features, and clarified requirements.

On the same day, the customer received a detailed, transparent fixed-price quote of €3,200 – including all services, with no hidden costs.

Phase 2: Preparation (Days 2-3)

The customer sorted out personal items and organized data deletion of IT systems. We provided roll containers for documents to be destroyed.

Phase 3: Clearance (Days 4-5)

With a 5-person team, we arrived on two consecutive days:

  • Day 1: Dismantling and removal of all furniture and large appliances
  • Day 2: Fine clearance, cleaning, disposal of residual materials

Thanks to good planning and a well-coordinated team, everything went smoothly. The premises were handed over broom-clean – on schedule and to complete satisfaction.

Project Costs

The total cost for the company dissolution amounted to €3,200 (net).

This included:

  • Site visit and consultation
  • 2 days of clearance with 5-person team
  • Two truck trips
  • Proper disposal of all materials
  • GDPR-compliant document destruction
  • Final cleaning and broom-clean handover

Customer Satisfaction

The managing director was delighted: “The Milic team exceeded our expectations. The clearance was absolutely professional, the timing was perfect, and we could fully focus on our move. No disruptions, no delays – simply excellent.”

Particularly appreciated were:

  • Minimal business disruption: Clearance took place outside core working hours
  • Transparent communication: Clear arrangements, reliable deadlines
  • Environmental awareness: High recycling rate and sustainable disposal
  • Fair pricing: Fixed price with no surprises

Conclusion

This case study demonstrates that even extensive company dissolutions can be carried out efficiently, professionally, and sustainably. With proper planning, an experienced team, and clear communication, a stressful situation becomes a smooth process.
